Summary:
This is a video about tides. Which is caused by the solar system's movement and its componet's gravity. Tide is a natural phenomenon where the sea level changes throught out the day. There're two kind of tides, neap and srping. Spring tides happen when the sun and moon form a straight line with the earth. When this happens, oceans on earth reach two highest points and two lowest points. Spring tides happens during full and new moon phases. Neap tides happens when the sun and moon form a 90° angle with the earth. When this happens, sea level on earth are around the same height. Neap tide happens during the first and third quarters.

How do the Earth’s motions affect us each day?
- Earth's motion causes day and night, which causes the bio-clock in our body to react. Then our ancestors observe that, and came up with the system of time. Despite different civilization have different systems, the mold of it is basically the same. It’s night when sun sets, and it’s day when the sun raises. Wake up and go to work when the sun raises and go to sleep when the sun sets. The Earth’s motion basically shape the system of humanity.
How are the movements of the Sun, Moon and Earth apparent on Earth?
- Despite the Sun is moving around the galaxy, due to our solar system is making the same movement, we can’t really observe that. But the movement of the Earth and the Moon around the sun make big appearance on the Earth. The movement of the moon around the Earth appear as moon phases, since moon don’t really glow, we need sunlight for it to show. The movement of the Earth around the Sun appear as seasons, because the angle of which the Earth is tilted, causes different part of the Earth are facing the Sun at the different time of the year.

What did you enjoy the most about this project and why?
- The part I enjoyed the most is where we come up of the video idea. Because we have a non artistic team, we need to have a idea that’s achievable while keeping it creative. Can’t do it better? Do it different.
What was most challenging for you during this project and why?
- The most challenging part for me was creating props to achieve the idea we came up with. Since the idea was so awkward, we tried a lot of different things, but none of them get to where I need it to be. So we just picked out the best out of them all and used it.
What new skills did you learn from doing this project.
- I learned how to use this new version of imovie, which is different from where I learned it.
Is there anything that you would change about this project?
- The first part where we separate the jobs into the script writer, props creator and the other things felt weird. Since one needs another. We end up doing all the parts together.
